My IT department will force me to use Dells if I go PC, and the IT department doesn't support Linux. to find and share scripts that empower their creativity with 3ds Max. We also use Shake, and the price for shake on an OSX renderfarm can't be beat. Ditch the macs (I mean for renderfarm, workstations are personal preference/current workflow related), get X86 renderfarm as it's more versatile (Autodesk stuff doesn't work on Mac) and offers better price/performane.
